About Us

We provide a modern educational environment based on Christian values as an alternative option for parents desiring a smaller classroom setup.

At Bellville Christian Academy, we realize that our Christian parents do not only desire an environment that provides quality education but one that also addresses the importance of Biblical values in the lives of our children. We achieve this by creating Learning Centers that give students continued individual access to Christian Educators for personalized support as required by their unique performance levels. Included in this setup we have elements like devotions, praise and worship, as well as weekly Chapel events that inspire our students to pursue a personal relationship with God.

Why We Do It

Vision – Education in the Right Hand
We are guided by a clear vision and simple goals that we want to achieve. Our vision as a school is “Education in the Right Hand”. The idea is quite simple, we want to create environments where God is welcome and included in the educational process. As Christians, we believe that it is not only about going to church one day a week, but about being the church every day of the week.

Our Core Values

Environment

We value the environment within which we educate our students. We believe that our environment should match the significance of our vision.

Experience

We believe that it is vital to be healthy on the inside. It is not only about looking good on the outside (environment), but it is about creating an experience for our parents and students that they can feel the difference when they interact with us.

Excellence

We believe that in order to provide quality education, we need to achieve excellence in administration.

Who We Are

Bellville Christian Academy was founded in 2005 by Pastor Johan Maritz and Pastor Sandra Martiz. They  started with six students and one teacher. They led the school faithfully for 18 years, growing the school to over 100 students with more than 15 full-time staff. The only limiting factor during this season was that the facilities could not accommodate more students.

In 2018, Pastor Johan Maritz was diagnosed with cancer. During this time, Bellville Christian Academy entered into a transition phase where Pastor Johan and Pastor Sandra invested into new leadership that would carry the vision onward. Bellville Christian Academy was handed over to the new leaders, Pastor Jean Maritz and Annerie Maritz in 2024, who continues to walk in the footsteps of the founders to ensure that the legacy of Christian Education continues for the new generations to come.
